Bahrain post is first opened its post office on 1884 in Manama. In 1973, Bahrain post is joined universal postal union and Arab Postal Union. Before 1950, Bahrain Post services are managed by Pakistan and English Post. After 1966, Bahrain takes responsibility for managing postal services and operations.
Bahrain Post Services
Ordinary Mail – Suitable for Sending any regular letters within the kingdom. Delivery period is 5 Days.Parcel must not exceed the weight of 30 kg.
Registered Mail Service – Delivery period is From 1 to 3 working days within Bahrain. You can retrieve parcel in case it is not delivered. Maximum weight is up to 2 kg.
Barid Mumtaz (Express Mail) – Fast and Efficient delivery of letters, documents, and packages at affordable prices and Guarantees delivery in one day within kingdom. It also comes with free comprehensive insurance. So compensation is given in case of loss, misuse, or unjustified delay.
Advice of Delivery (AD) – Additional service provided at a fixed rate at 300 fils for each receipt notice. The AD card is returned to the sender once signed to confirm receipt.
